Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Hutong tour with pedicab ride & home visit.

Tour the Badaling Great Wall (2 hours visit at least), Sacred Way of Ming Tombs, Jade stone workshop visit en route. A photo stop at the Bird Nest & Water Cube.

Day 4 (Sat) - Beijing (B,L,SD)
Tour the Temple of Heaven (watch local people doing all kinds of morning exercise and learn to do Chinese Tai Chi with Tai Chi master for 30 minutes), Summer Palace & Pearl workshop visit. Enjoy Peking Duck dinner tonight.
Day 5 (Sun) - Beijing/Xian (B,L)
Fly to Xi’an. Visit the Provincial Museum & Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 6 (Mon) - Xian (B,L,TD)
Full day excursion to the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, and visit the ceramics & pottery workshop en route. Enjoy the Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show tonight.
Day 7 (Tues) - Xian/Dunhuang (B,L)
Transfer to airport for flight to Dunhuang. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 8 (Weds) - Train Dunhuang Liuyuan-Turpan (B,L,D)
Full day visit the Mogao Grottoes, Sounding Sand Dune & Crescent Moon Spring.
After dinner transfer to Liuyuan station for an overnight train to Turpan (soft berth).
Day 9 (Thurs) - Turpan (B,L,D)
Arrive Turpan early in the morning. Meet and transfer to the hotel for breakfast. After freshen up at the hotel, visit the Grape Valley, the Karez Irrigation System, and Emin Minaret.

Optional Uygur minority dancing and singing performance at the hotel tonight.
Day 10 (Fri) - Turpan - Urumqi (B,L,D)
Visit to the Jiaohe Ancient Ruins and Flaming Mountain. Then drive to Urumqi.
In the afternoon, visit the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum.

Day 11 (Sat) - Urumqi/Kashgar (B,L,SD)
Fly to Kashgar and visit the Kashgari Tomb & Id Kah Mosque. Taste the local cuisine tonight.

Day 12 (Sun) - Urumqi-Urumqi (B,L,D)
Visit the Sunday Bazaar and the Kashgar old town including a home visit to a Uygur family. Take the evening flight back to Urumqi.

A Full-day excursion to the Heavenly Lake with a boat ride.
